Internationals - English Club - Tim Bayliss

Make friends with international students and help them with their English. We play games, practice pronunciation, and read and discuss the Bible. Tea and cakes every week! Thursday 4.30-7.00pm.

Internationals - Globe Cafe - Tim Bayliss

Help out at our Globe Cafe run each week for international students. There is a different programme each week (e.g. culture, music, food, games) and an opportunity to go for a Bible reading and discussion. Monday 8.00-10.00pm.

Internationals - One-off Events - Tim Bayliss

Perhaps you love internationals outreach but helping out weekly isn't possible for you. Why not sign up to help with the termly socials we organise? Past socials include The Meaning of the Season (Christmas), Easter Party and a trip to the Lickey Hills.

UBCU Tech - Tom Nelson

The tech team are the ones who set up the sound and projections equipment every Thursday for Central and other CU events throughout the year as required. They are always in need of more techies, and you don't need any experience to join them. Chat to Tom or email tlnelson@live.co.uk if you are interested.

Welcome Team - Lydia Bancroft

We're really passionate about being a community on campus that is known for its loving and welcoming nature, and whilst this is something we all try to model, the guys and girls on Welcome Team are there to particularly look for and welcome anyone who is new to CU.

Prayer - David Marlow

Being able to come to God in prayer is a great privilege and something the Bible teaches is essential in mission. Why not make it a priority to pray with other Christians for the work of the CU on campus? Thirst, our weekly Prayer Meeting, is on Mondays 8.00-9.00am at the Chaplaincy.

Worship Team - Joel Dowson

Do you play an instrument or sing? Would you like to get involved with the band at CU Central on Thursday evenings or lead songs at Thirst on Monday mornings? Joel would love to chat to you and help you get involved!

Refreshments - Matthew Roberts

The guys and girls on the refreshments team serve the CU by serving tea, coffee, squash and biscuits after Central on Thursday evenings. Degree in culinary arts not required!

MeetUps - Nadia Battioui

MeetUp mentors are there to be a friendly and familiar face for their mentee and to help them settle in, whether they have problems with being away from home, flat mates, working out their course/uni requirements or any other issues.

They also help them as they look for a church and encourage them to be involved with evangelism, both in their personal relationships and with CU-organised mission. Finally they pray for them and can reassure them and point them in the direction of someone who may be able to help more.

Friday Football - Josh Smith and Isaac Osobukola

Friday Football is a great opportunity to make new friends and be a witness for Christ while playing football. Both guys and girls are welcome, Fridays 8.00-9.00pm at the Bournbrook pitches. It is free on your first time and £3 per person per week thereafter to cover the cost of hiring the pitch.

Website - Michael Johnson

The CU website is a valuable communication tool and is often a first point of contact for people interested in the CU. If you know anything about web design/coding, we'd love to get you involved, and if you don't know anything at all, you can be taught. Please do get in contact with the web team and get involved with keeping it up to date.
